Inspiration

BY Karen Morgan

This is not in the most respected of publications, but the story is inspirational none the less because it addresses a very pertinent issue when it comes to the quality of not just or medical supply, but our food supply as well. What is the link between autism and a gluten-free, dairy free diet? More and more children are being diagnosed with autism and the first thing doctors do is put them on a gluten/dairy free diet.

So this brings forth a new question: for precautionary measures, should pregnant women adhere to a gluten free diet until the baby is not longer breast feeding? What is it about gluten that has created this caustic aftermath within 1 and every 133 of us? Is gluten the next opiate of the masses? Has is it “dumbed” our genetics down because gluten itself has been so overly processed that the end result is now something our bodies no longer recognize?

Something I’ll have to look into further, as I know that numerous studies have been done searching for just such a link between autism and gluten intolerance and Celiac disease…

It’s people like Jenny McCarthy who take an idea, understand it, push it, and as a result, educate the masses about information that directly effects their lives.

Living gluten free is very much the same thing. The more we disseminate and share the knowledge we have about living with this genetic aberration, the more we can set people free from that helpless state of not knowing.
