Theme Music to Inspire the Cooking of Your Feast

BY Karen Morgan

Before I became a baker, my career began in the music industry, and even though my career path has changed, my love of music has never faltered. If I can’t go see music live, then I always have something wafting in the background while I’m in my kitchen cooking. It’s like having my own little live set in the far corner so I don’t get any sauce on them.

Below are some of my favorites at the moment. But everyone’s a critic. What will you be playing while you cook your feast? Leave a comment with your favorite songs or albums so we can build a gluten free community playlist! Once the list is complete, you will be able to listen to it here. Share the love, just hold the gluten.

The Budos Band: Instrumental horns, funk and jazz all rolled into one.

Morphine: More horns and not a single guitar = totally bad ass.

Beach House Teen Dream: Dreamy, folksy, lyrical fun.

The Greenhorns: Sewed Soles: See why Jack White of the White Stripes loves them.

The Head and the Heart

Lower Dens Great way to calm down before the guests arrive; also great for after dinner drinks.
