Hipster Thanksgiving Survival Kit

BY Karen Morgan
Hipster Survival Kit

The busiest travel day is upon us all, so if you will be flying, driving, or riding your bike, here is a little gluten free survival kit that will keep you healthy, happy and most of all, gluten free.

1. Call your doctor for an emergency prescription of Xanax in case things get claustrophobic, alienating, dysfunctional or you begin to suffer from “stress” induced linguale dysarthria.

2. Make sure you have at least $100.00 cash on you. You never know if you will find yourself somewhere that doesn’t take the plastic.

3. Travel with a nice small pillow and a cozy little blanket in case you need to take a nap while on the plane or in the car. If you are riding your bike, maybe not so much.

4. A transistor radio. My “smart” phone still craps out on me when I really don’t want it to, taking my music and contact with the outside world from me, so if you need a diversion that doesn’t include a rag mag, a transistor radio is where it is at. Don’t forget your headphones so you can go to that special place.

5. Gluten free travel food: Your Sigg Water Bottle filled with filtered water, (if you aren’t flying of course)an organic apple or banana, a package of nuts, and a packaged gluten free bar of your liking: Here are a few I’m digging at the moment.

Macrobar

Thunderbird Energetica

BumbleBars

6. B-Complex vitamins.

7. Probiotics

8. …and a hipster handbag to get it all there.
