Mast Brothers Chocolate

BY Karen Morgan
MBrothers

Ahoy chocolate lovers. Santa introduced me to a pair of chocolatiers from Brooklyn that have changed my gluten free life for ever. From the beautifully wrought packaging, boasting exquisitely rendered designs for each flavor, to the farm sourced ingredients, there really isn’t a single criticism that can be made of the duo known as the Mast Brothers. Once the paper is torn from the edges and you close your eyes and place that first grand square on your tongue, you will instantly know you are in the presence of greatness. The Almonds & Sea Salt is exceptional in it’s marriage of the chocolate bouquet with the perfectly roasted almonds and bright finish of sea salt while the Sumptown Coffee bar is like a bottle rocket for your pocket. Here the coffee and chocolate are not in competition with one another which is often the case when you combine two very strong elements, but somehow, these masterful chocolatiers have done it. Something tells me once I make my way through their entire collection, my opinion of them will only become legion. Oh, and did I mention that they also happen to be incredibly hot chocolatiers?

Dear Mast Brothers, if you are single, just know that someone in Texas would gladly be your mail order bride.

Anyone else a fan? Show your love so these very deserving artists can hear ya.
