These cookies are so old-fashioned and so delicious, they will never go out of style and can be served whenever you feel like it. The recipe came down to me through my brother-in-law, Clayton, who got it from his great-grandmother, Rosa Suhm, and he said she always made them during the holidays.

Well, the moment this recipe came into my life, I immediately decided to second that notion and make it a tradition.

Loaded with coconut, pecans and majooli dates, these are the macaroons to make for you and yours this year. Go ahead, knock ‘em dead with pleasure. They’ll never forget them, or you, for that matter.
