Down But Not Out

1950′s?

I just arrived in New York to spend some time with my beloved niece, Lilly, and attend some Dharma Mittra Master classes…I want nothing more than to make things right and in order to do that, I have to keep my headspace as clear as a flawless diamond. Something cosmic is happening within me and I literally cannot describe it in any other terms. The worm has turned, as they say. I’ve changed and now that the shift has occurred, there’s no looking back.

It’s just like my deceased nephew, Andy, told me in my dreams last week. I just have to keep moving forward. I can’t make anyone change, I can only change myself. I’m so ready to experience unadulterated joy, my body has been trembling while my thoughts have never been more lucid.

So to make myself feel better, I went out and got a few gifts for the people that have been on my mind as of late. I love giving gifts to people when they least expect it, no matter how serious or silly, I just want everyone to know I really do care. And if I’ve learned anything form the dissolution of my marriage it is this: everyone wants to hear the unspoken assumptions of support, of wonder, of respect. It’s like Bjork said, love is a two way street. You gotta give it to get it.
